You’ve probably already done a lot of research on your man boobs problem and now you are considering male breast reduction surgery. Some men will require surgery to correct the condition.

Gynecomastia, commonly known as “man boobs”, is a condition that can affect men of any age. Don’t think you are uncommon. The surgery is itself is generally safe but like all medical procedures there is some risk of complications. The surgeon must be made aware of any other conditions you have that may increase the risk of complications during surgery or anaesthesia. You can expect a thorough physical examination, blood tests and possibly a mammogram to ensure there is no other disease at the root of your breast problem.

After the surgery you can expect a recovery time of one to three weeks. During this period you may have to wear a compression bandage and will need to be monitored for infection. Your doctor and the hospital staff will give you all of the information you need before leaving the hospital. Again ask any questions that come to mind.

Once your body has healed from your male breast reduction surgery you will be able to look in a mirror and take pride in your new masculine chest. You will start to become more self-confident and this will show in all aspects of your life. Start thinking about how it will feel to actually go to the beach and not feel ashamed, or to get undressed in front of your special partner. Bench press exercises are a perfect activity to develop chest and back muscles while dumb-bells can strengthen the upper arms and shoulders.
